Josh is another talent to come out of Sheffield and over the last year he has really shined. He has incredible style which comes naturally to him and always works super hard when learning new tricks.
Josh spends most of his spare time riding at Sheffield ski village shredding with the likes of Woodsy, Longley, the Machon's and all the other sheffield rippers! He had his big break this year when he was selected for the London ride where he did incredibly well.
Name: Josh Ingram
Ski experience: I first started skiing when I was around 12 years old at Sheffield ski village. I started out with the 'Sharks Ski club' doing 2 hours every Saturday learning how to turn and just some other basic stuff. It wasnt until I was 13 that I really started getting interested in freestyle skiing, I just loved to watch different riders going huge in the pipe.
I went to Bulgaria for my first ever snow holiday, then Bulgaria again and then Wengan with the Sharks Ski club. In March 2008 I went to Laax for the British Championships. These were my first snow jumps and snow pipe. I came away with three bronze medals in slopestyle, superpipe and big air. I am also in the England Development squad.
Where do you train: I train mainly at Sheffield ski village twice a week but I also travel to places such as Halifax and Rossendale for the Grom camps.
Latest Competition results:16th in the London ride, 8th overall at Milton Keynes Brits Big air, 2nd in U16's at Westbeach Freestyle series Halifax and 3rd at the Brits Big air at Halifax (youth).
Favourite tricks: 720 mute and switch 720
Favourite skiers & influences: Woodsy!!, Henrik Harlaut, Andy Longley and of course Pat Sharples!!
Other comments: I want to thank Pat Sharples, James Woods and the rest of the team for their amazing coaching. They are a great bunch of people who make freestyle skiing the best sport there is. They push us to our limits and make us realise our full potential.
I want to thank my family and friends for always supporting me and taking me to different competitions and different places in order to train.
I also want to say a masive thanks to my sponsors 'Movement skis', 'Bloc Goggles', 'Baw Bags' and ' Sheffield ski village'.
